Ardrossan-Brodick
(44 Images)

Brodick is the main village on Arran, the ferry from Ardrossan on the mainland arrives here. The ferry terminal is also the starting point for bus lines and tours. The TIC is here, too.
There is a sand beach and the walk up Goatfell from here only takes half a day.
Blackwaterfoot

Blackwaterfoot is central on the West coast of Arran, with views over Kintyre and the largest sand beach of the Island.
GlenRosa-Goatfell-Brodick
(121 Images)

These pictures were taken on a walk from Brodick through Glen Rosa up the Saddle, then up North Goatfell, Goatfell and back down to Brodick. Splendid views, but also a bit strenuous - it's around 13 miles/21 km and took me about 9 hours.
Goatfell
(129 Images)

Goatfell is the highest mountain on Arran and close to Brodick. There is an easy path up there, so you can make it up and back down to the ferry terminal in 5-6 hours i.e. between the first and last ferry in the off season.
Lamlash
(12 Images)

Lamlash is just South of Brodick in a protected bay behind Holy Island. Nice beach plus an hourly ferry to the Holy Island.
Lochranza-Distillery
(16 Images)

Lochranza is in the very North of Arran and has a small castle (keys in the shop) and the Arran Distillery just South of it. The last picture here is actually taken on the East coast near Corrie.
Sannox
(55 Images)

Sannox is on the East cost just North of Corrie. It is starting point for several tours but lacks paths for some of them. :) I tried to walk from Sannox over Suidhe Fearghas, Witch's Step, Cir Mor, Saddle back to Brodick, but couldn't find the path up the first mountain! Tried to get up twice before I found it, and by then it was too late for the full tour so I turned around on Suidhe Fearghas and came home early...
Southcoast

The South coast, try to get a glimpse of Eire, or just enjoy the sand beach.
